Does anybody know anything about a Kity 637 Planer/Thicknesser? There is a used one for sale in my area, at what seems to be a reasonable price.
Fine Woodworking Recommended Products
Incra Miter 1000HD
One of many extremely accurate Incra miter gauges, this model offers 180-degree adjustment to 1/10 of a degree, and a long, straight fence with a telescoping stop system.
iGaging Wheel Marking Gauge
Unlike the other inexpensive disk gauges, this one has an O-ring inside the fence. The disk would benefit from some honing, but works as is.
Titebond I
Perfect glue for almost every type of glue up. Sets quickly so you can keep working.
WoodRiver Wheel Marking Gauge No. 154340W
WoodRiver’s deluxe marking gauge is a good-quality disk-cutting gauge, but lacking the O-ring of the Veritas models, it was a tad fussier to set precisely. Also, the etched markings on the shaft were 1/32 in. off the actual distance between cutter and fence.
3M Pro Grade Sandpaper
This sandpaper is clog resistant and has a material on the back that prevents it from slipping. Great for sanding blocks.

You must be from the other side of the puddle. Kity is a hobby brand from over there. Compare a new one in price and see if that model is still in production and if parts are still available. Small tools typically sell 3/4 to 1/2 the cost of new if a popular brand especially for table saws, jointers and thicknessers. Lathes are usually less in demand.
Actually I am up in Alaska. I have no idea how the Kity made it over here.
