Hi, all, I am looking for inspiration.
I have built a large kitchen cupboard. Actually, it’s a chest on a chest, and I want to make a crown moulding to suit. I only haverouters – no spindle molder or shaper, so no large diameter cuts etc.
Does anyone have a selection of drawings that I could possibly take a look at for inspiration, please?
Many thanks, Ozzy

O, what style are you looking for ? You can build up several layers to emulate more of a crown .The options are many even with a router and TS .
give us more to go on regards dusty
Hi, there, good to meet you.
I thought I might be asking too generic a question.
The piece is very traditional, frame and raised panels, European oak. Its big, the base unit is 22 inches deep, 28 inches tall and 52 inches wide. The upper chest is the same depth and width, but about 52 inches tall. Lower has two rows of drawers, 3 upper and two lower, the upper chest has two equally sized doors, with a centre stile. Drawer fronts are solid, and made from 2 pieces (one for the uppers, another for the lowers). The upper frames (doors and side panels are similar style) of two stiles, with a centre vertical muntin, and two short rails tenoned into the stiles and muntins to give 4 panels on each door/side panel. The lower of the four are square, leaving the upper two very long. Round ceramic knobs, Danish oil finish.
Thats about it. Can you help?
Cheers, Ozzy

Check the European Style Door Edge router bits at mlcs.com.
I have profile A, and use it quite often to add a bit of detail to a molding. The actual profile isn't real visible in these pictures, but you should get the idea.
Dave,
Good to meet you.
Thanks very much - I can see wehat you mean.
