Where is a good source to purchase jointer knives for a Craftsman model 103 6″ jointer made in the 1950’s. Thanks for any help.

whats the dimensions of the knives??
Bear, there are 3 knives and they are 6-1/8" long. Sears sells jointer knives at this length but I have not been by there to see if they match up to mine. Thanks for any help.
http://www.amanatool.com... they have 2 at 6 1/8", one at 3/4", and one 5/8" wide. both 1/8" thickness. i get mine at woodworkers warehouse for 22.00 , the price of amana will be more but very good quality... bear

Might want to give the folks at ridge Carbide tool a call.. http://www.ridgecarbidetool.com they will custom cut you HSS or carbide tipped joiner knifes.
Thanks for the info. I have saved that website and will check it out.
I just replaced the knives on my delta 6" for the first time. I asked people all over what size to use and couldn't get a specific answer out of anybody, including Delta (email).
I bought a couple sets of Freuds, about $20 each, from Amazon. Same length as the originals, different width (5/8") though. That didn't matter because the cutterhead is designed with enough clearance for different width and thickness blades. If you can find blades the same width it will mean a little less tuning. So try to match the length and a width and thickness that will fit the machine.
