I ran into an issue with my Grizzly G0586 jointer.
I am trying to remove the infeed table and find that you can only take it so far, After removing the height adjusting block bolts, and releasing the gib screws, I was able to slide the table down but found that the casting on the end won’t slide past the raised lugs that hold the height adjustment bolts. These lugs are cast into the base.
Has anyone had the same problem? Please let me know.
Thanks

Will it slide up and off?

What kind of issues require removing the table??? Sometimes I've had to slide the table up instead of down to remove them. Dovetailed ways jointers come apart real easy compared to parallelogram tables.
Rick,Thanks for your response.I considered sliding the table up and off the base, but this would require another person to help. Sliding it down would be easier for one person with the use of support of some type.I will try to slide it up once i get some more help.
So, what's the issue requiring to remove the table????
The tables aren't co-planar and the gibs slipped. But basically, i need to clean the ways thoroughly. This is a project that seem to mushroom from one thing to another.
Why would the gibs slip? Were the bolts loose? Typically on a dovetailed jointer with sagging tables I shim the outfeed as it gets moved the least.
