I’m looking for plans or picture of jig to be used in safely cutting band saw boxes; without some method of holding the work, seems to me that fingers would be uncomfortably close to the moving blade.

Hello Shel,
I have a healthy fear of amputation as do most woodworkers. I use 12" wood clamp to grab the wood to cut into boxes. If you slip, the wood clamp wiil not hurt the bandsaw blade. If you are resawing, you can do without the clamp but make sure that if the wood gives way (rotten) your fingers should not be in line with the blade. You will feel more comfortable when you get more experience, but always look to see if your hands could get into the blace if you slip or push too hard.
hope this helps,
Chuck
much help; many thanks; have to go and order clamp from HF.
Shel
