One-Adam-12, be advised, see the man, stampede at the clamp display at Rockler.
31″, 40″, and 50″ Jet clamps on sale at Rockler.com.
Just noticed it today. Not sure how long it’s been going on, or how long it will last.

Thanks for the alert, JB. These very-occasional clamp sales are terrific, and the only way I was able to afford good clamps for several years. I don't see anything on their web site, so this must be an in-store only sale? Pays to get there quite early (before the doors open).
forestgirl,
But, but, they are on the website.
Unless they expect me to buy them all. Given my tool-shopping habits, not an unreasonable gamble on their part.

Sorry, I thought there'd be a big splash on the home page. Were you around when the big Jorgenson anniversary sale happened? They were around half-price, and they ran out of stock (on-line) in something like 10 minutes! My eBay snipe training came in handy, I got 4 of the six clamps I wanted. Bessey had a big sale a couple years later, scored on that one too.
The best Jet sale I've seen was the cabinetmaker's set for $99 a few years ago. Two 24" and two 40" plus the stands and dog-hole pins.
Have fun, leave a few for the resst of us!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I purchased one of those sets a few months ago, on sale, but nowhere near $99.
The $99 sale was after the clamps had been out for awhile, but not too many people had bought them. I suspect they used it to jump-start a market for the Jets, as people just didn't think of Jet when they shopped for clamps. It was in the late summer/fall of 2006, I remember now 'cause it was right when I sold my business and I had set aside some $$ for tool purchases as a celebration.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I bought two of the 50" clamps for $31.00 each. I believe it was 50% off of list!
Whale,
Buy low, sell high. I'll give you $35 for them!
Now thutty-fi, thutty-fi, thutty-fi... Sold!

These Jet clamps sure do look nice, but I only use Bessey Clamps because that's what Norm uses! ;)
Preference for clamps is very personal. After accumulated a few of each of the 3 main clamp brands (Bessey, Jorgies, Jets), I settled on the Jet as my favorite. Ended up actually trading my Bessey's with someone for the Jets that they couldn't get used to.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
