Hi All, I just bought a used Jet 14 in. band saw, it really is just like new! Problem is, it has roller bearings for the lower guide, and cool blocks for the upper. Is this a problem? It cuts fine, a new blade, I was able to resaw some 8 inch tall pine with no drift. Am I asking for trouble? I only paid 300$ for it, it is the cs and came with the Jet mobile base, riser, and miter. It also has the rails for the jet fence, but no fence.
Thanks for any input, Shelly

That's sort of a weird combination. Jet had some plastic guide blocks that looked somewhat like true Cool Blocks but very quickly wore out. If that is what you have, I would change them to real Cool Blocks.
What kind of roller bearings are on the bottom? There are the large (1"+ diameter) like Carter guides. Personally I do not like them. They lower the blade support even further than the already low support on the Jet bandsaw. I would re-convert the lower guides to the Cool Blocks also.
