issue 119 article about restoration 32’n
Hello all,
I just bought a 32″Crescent band-saw.
Apparently in issue 119 is a article about the restoration of one of these saws.
Unfortunately my series start in 1999 and the article is from 1996.
Does any one have that article and is prepared to scan it for me.
This band-saw is the 7 Th. machine 100 years and older for my workshop.
Let me know and will give my e-mail address.
Greetings Bernhard.

Bernhard,
I checked the online index and FWW #119 has a Q&A about sourcing parts for a Crescent. I'll check the actual issue tomorrow when I'm in the office, but it doesn't seem to be an instructional article. I would suggest looking at http://www.owwm.org. That site has tons of info on rehabing old machines and there is also a forum. The folks there know a ton about rehabing old iron.

Thanks,I am a member of the OWWM but thought that maybe FWW looked at the saw from a wood workers point of view.
The restoration forums are sometimes only restoration and not working with the old machines.
The seller of the saw told me that it was used till 1/2 year ago and is in working order.
When it is here i show some pictures on the forum.Bernhard.
