Someone asked me for ‘before’ pictures of the iron buff treatment on white oak, so here’s some pix- one with just the iron buff darkening the oak (you can see the ‘raw’ oak color in the dadoes) and two with a coat of untinted Watco Danish oil on them afterward.
These ‘with oil’ pictures seem much lighter than they do in person – they’re pretty dark. When (if?) I finally get these bookcases assembled, I’ll post finished pics which should show the color/grain better.
