I just bought some wood.. I was so happy I think a tear came to my eyes..
My local Hardwood Supplier…. Owl Hardwood. Nice folks… I turned over a TALL AND WIDE board that was way out of my pocket book!
I found some ‘flat sawn’ Lacewood! At about $2.00 a foot! I went away so happy I had to excuse myself for crying at the check out when handing my Credit card…
Yes.. It was flat sawn.. But 12 foot length that I had cut in half for free at about two dollars a foot US money.. Amazing! I am so happy!

will,
ah, how you dote over the china dolls! nice.eef
how you dote over the china dolls! I have to! Old father here that was never allowed near a new baby. Old Hospital rules when mine came to this world.
And my wife did NOT want to see me either!.. Just funnin'
They were about one year old when my Daughter and I went to China to get them (two trips). Both were about one year old when we first saw them. In the usual Chinese manner all bundled up in fifteen layers of used old clothes.. They looked like they were about 30 pounds (dressed). I guess no heat in the orphanage they came from. Maybe no heat but they were clean, well fed, and happy children..
AND you 'bond' with a screaming baby standing way back in an airoplane' for 20 or so hours holding her and trying to keep her quiet so the other on the plane could sleep.
Spent most of my trip's flying back sitting WAY back in a corner humming to the child.. Now... that is being a grandfather. I was so tired.. The baby and I fell asleep for about two days after getting home.
I love em' as my own and then some!
