I have a few Diamond stones. I always used DRY as stated from the Mfg.
I put on some fine machine oil. What a difference in cutting. Anybody have the same experience?
Especially my old EZE-LAP’s. Brought them back to life!

Will,
I have never oiled my diamonds.
Well, not eactly anyway. What I use is a mixture of 3-in-One and a special ingredient - raccoon urine. BUT, you can only collect it when there is a full moon and a Chicago sports team wins!
How's the rooster doin? I shot the one we had.

I use water on my diamonds.Apropos of raccoon urine: In the mid 1970s, when the snow fell deep and dire wolves and sabre toothed cats roamed North America in search of giant bison, an old man stopped by my grandparent's little house in the big woods one afternoon the week after Christmas to ask if I'd like to go raccoon hunting that evening. I said yes. This old man was a local farmer born deaf. He could hear the tone of a hammer on a nail and tell if it was running true, but he could not make out the spoken word at less than a full roar. Although he was an intelligent and observant fellow, the schools had not known what to make of him. They had suspected retardation. He made few real friends. In the absence of school challenges and friends with whom to pass time, Duane (for that was is name) had turned to nature. He knew the woods and fields, knew the times and seasons, knew the paths, and homes, and feeding spots of all the creatures. That night, Duane took me by the light of the moon through the patchy snow among the dark trunks and branches near the river's edge. He had no dog. He had no traps. He had only a flashlight, a gunny sack, and a .22 rifle. From time to time, Duane would stop and sniff the air. He turned to me a time or two and said that a raccoon had been nearby recently; that he could smell its urine. Then he stopped cold, sniffed again, and motioned me to stop. He said he was sure from the smell that the 'coon was in one of the trees overhanging us. Out came the flashlight. A look here, a look there, and OH, on that branch was the 'coon! Duane shot him, put him in the gunny sack and we walked home. The next day I rode in with him to the fur buyer. And that is my experience of raccoon urine.Joe

Several years ago I had a Raccoon and a Possum (I think were friends?) come by my my window. I sat inside and in the early morning they would greet me by pissin on my window-sill...
