HVAC Dampers as automatic Blast gates

Has anyone tried using the motorized HVAC Damper as an automatic blast gate. See this link. www.smarthome.com/3080.html They are only 89.95 compare with the eccogate real expensive ones. The only downside I can see is the internal damper may get clogged. But it might be worth a try.

Hi,
From the look of them they might not be able to handle the much higher pressure of a dust collection system.
Also they cost 90.00 each not including a way to hook them up and control them.
If I recall correctly the ecogate system costs 500.00 for 4 gates and all the controls and it can definitely handle the pressure.
