I have some beautiful but very fragile lacewood veneer. Does anyone have a home workshop method for paperbacking veneer so it can be handled easily?
Thanks for your advice.

You could simply laminate it to another veneer that has better structural integrity.
used some poplar veneer as backing , positioned them @ 90 degree to the face veneer, white glue in a vaccum press. used formica on either side as caul for the press.
cheers.

If you can glue it to paper, you've already figured it out!
You could also use veneer tape on the show surface. Remove it after final glue up.
