I made a triangular cornertable w/ a small drawer. I had to paint the drawer because it was slightly visible. I used T & G wood slides. It doesn’t quite slide well enough. what can I do? apply wax? poly?

On any wooden runner, I use Johnson's Paste Wax on bare wood. Hopefully, you didn't paint the runners.
Works like a charm. I never heard of slipit, though. Sounds intrigueing.

Rub a candle on the sliding surfaces and see if that helps. Hopefully, you made the slides a little loose so that the paint isn't binding them up.
There is a product called Slipit, specifically made for drawer lubrication. As long as the drawer isn't binding anywhere, it works well.

Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
That's what I would use also. I use it all the time around the house and on antique furniture drawers and anything that slides. It's the best stuff on the market, that's for sure.
