I am building a table that I saw which is pretty clever. The top is two pieces at 30″ x 52.75″ and hinged along the long side. It will sit on an apron with 1.5″ of overhang on all four sides. The clever part is that the top will pivot and open to 52.75″ x 60″ and sit on the same apron with overhangs of 12.875″ and 5.125″. I am having trouble figuring out how to determine where the pivot point should be. Does anyone know how to figure this out?
Thanks

Go to the FWW home page and type "An Expandable Table" in the search box. The article by that name is about building a table like you described and it includes an explanation for locating the pivot point. The geometry is fairly complex.
