I’m planning to remodel my kitchen and would like to know if there is
a method or formula for determining how many bd/ft of lumber to buy
for the face frames, doors, and drawer fronts and such can you help
with this major/minor problem?????

HI,
I've seen board feet programs but I'm afraid I toss them as fast as they show up. I'm stuck more in 19th century techniques. But here's what I'd do. Figure out how much actual board footage you'll need for a face frame or door. Then add 25-35% for waste, then add 10% for luck, and you'll still probably be short but you'll be close. Good luck.
