   There are three different LT16 models, all with different prices. Here's what Laguna's web site is showing:

   LT16 1½hp.	$1,095.00
   LT16SEC 2½hp 12" resaw, footbrake, R&P.	$1,395.00
   LT16 HD 3hp 12" resaw, footbrake, R&P.	$1,795.00

   To figure a fair price, you'd have to know the exact model. From what you state, he probably has the LT16SEC. You'd get a better price at a wood show, but not $1000. Probably discounted $150 to $200.

   He claims that the saw is the LT16 with a 1.5 hp motor. I beleive this saw comes standard with a 12" resaw capacity, no foot brake, and no R/P.

   Strange. He's describing the saw with the list price of $1095 and which Laguna now has on sale for $995. And he paid $1400 without shipping? Either he got ripped of by somebody or he has the higher priced saw and doesn't know it.

   I just checked Lagunas web site, and they are having a sale on the LT16 for $995.

   Todd,

   I've seen the Laguna LT16 for $850 -- this saw was a couple years old.
