I would try a brass brush, mineral spirits and scrub the crap out of them.
Good luck and let me know if it works. I use MS as my cutting oil and it keeps the stones "clear". I've never had to "unclog" one.

Wash them with Kerosene and a stiff brush. Then get yourself one of those very cheap and nasty course grit diamond plates that usually are seen in a pack of three, glue it onto a flat piece of wood to act as a handle and use this to flatten and condition the stones.
You can also use abrasive papers for this but the diamond is better because it is fast acting and leaves the grits in the stone "sharper".
Run it through the dishwasher (with the regular detergent you use) or boil it it Spic-N-Span or another powdered cleaner that contains trisodium phosphate. Boil it for an hour or so on a vigorous boil. Use a big pot and fill it only half full of water.
If you boil it in Spic-N-Span rinse it well, let it dry, and then put Norton honing oil (it's mineral oil) on both sides until it won't absorb any more.
