I have been going to the Houston Woodworking Show every year for the past 6 years or so. I went again this past Friday afternoon and was very disappointed.
It seemed like there were fewer vendors and what vendors were there had fewer tools displayed. One vendor that I was particularly interested in seeing (they were also listed on their web site for Houston) was not there. I spent less than two hours there and really had a hard time finding something of interest. Don’t feel like I got my monies worth ($9 entry fee and $8 parking).
I also noticed that there were significantly fewer people at the show this year which makes me wonder if those that didn’t attend knew something that I didn’t.

I was hoping for more industrial tools. Was looking for shaper tooling, almost none, and what there was was 3/4" bore. Vendor selection is about what I have come to expect from these small hobby oriented shows. Would like to attend the AWFS in Las Vegas this July.
