Is there a problem mounting a router on it’s side? My brother showed me how to build a vertical router table with a horizontal fence. It works great for mortises, Any issues with the motor running on it’s side?

I've seen plans for that arrangement in most router books, and there's even one in the new Tools & Shops by FWW, so I'd be surprised if there are any problems with orienting a router that way. Guess we'll hear what the experts think.

No problems running on its side. Mine's been working for 15 yrs like that.
