I am about to mount drawer fronts to the kitchen cabinet drawer boxes. I have read that one way to adjust/line up the fronts is to use screws with over sized washer heads and drill oversize holes in the front of the drawer box through which the screws go and into the front piece. This allows for jiggle room. Q’s, do you recommend a different way? If not assuming I use #8 screws how big would you recommend the oversize holes be? Thank you.

Dear Non Trad,
Your holes can be as big as you like just so long as when the drawer front is bumped, the screws hold it good and tight. I usually run a 3/16 hole for a #8 screw and this gives me just a little of movement. Try that, then you can always make those holes bigger if you need more moving around room. Gary
