I’ve had a 1000a for years. Now one brush holder is loose so that the brush turns and the motor doesn’t function properly.
Does anyone kknow how to fix this?

I have a friend that has a F1000A jointer planer. He had the same problem. Their is a set screw that holds the brush holder in place. The problem is that you have to remove the gear case end of the motor to get to it. If the brush holder is broken you might be out of luck as they are obsolete. Also, if you get to the set screw do not tighten it too much as you could crack the brush holder.
