Hi Guys,
Does anyone have experience with using hide glue and paper backed veneer? I’ve read that contact cement works well, but I’m used to using hide glue on plain veneer.
Any and all replies are appreciated!
Thanks!!

I have done it successfully many times before. If you are proficient with laying up veneers with hide glue otherwise it's not really all that difficult. Probably easier with more delicate veneers.
Cheers
Blue Jay,
I think you asked me about this and I forgot to reply (sorry).
I have never tried it, but I wonder if the heat and water required with hammer veneering wouldn't cause the veneer and paper to separate. If you are using liquid hide glue, then I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
