Hi gang:
Was watching this HGTV show one day and this woodworker had a veneer tool that has really piqued my interest. He laid 2 pieces of veneer together, edge to edge, and ran a device that has 2 wheels and a container holding an adhesive down the seam. The seam was instantly bonded with a zigzag “line” of adhesive, like a stitch, and no tape. The veneer then went into a bag press.
Anyone knows what this tool is?

I have one that I no longer need. It is called a Kuper hand sticher. It seems like I paid about $500 for it new about ten years ago. I would let it go for half of that.
I have to run, will check back this evening. Keith
I'm getting back into veneiring and have never heard anyone mention a Kuper hand stitcher. Is there any way you could post a picture or two of this tool??? Thanks... SawdustSteve

They've been in use for a number of years in commercial shops.
Mercury Vacuum press company sells them. Aloha, Mike
