Hi id You could try posting on break time .Ther used to be a staircase guru Stan Foster on there who builds the greatest staircases (and gyrocopters). However there has been a mass migration at breaktime and he may no longer be part of it ,They set up their own forum i believe as they were dissenchanted with the taunton approach.Enjoying the snow in the UK ??

I've seen my son's method for making those stair parts. The pieces are cut out on a band-saw. then passed through the shaper on shop-made fences or cradles.

A fu;rther note on my son's method: For curved rails, he buys rail-stock ready-ripped and intended for lamination. Then having already built a stud wall in his shop for laminating the skirt-boards and holding the staircase under construction, he uses the same stud-wall to form the laminated rail, thus it is not only curved, but also spiraled. Send me an email if you would like to talk to him.
