I am builiding a 3 piece Entertainment center for my wife & am trying to plan ahead by choosing knobs for the doors. I want wooden knobs, but am not satisfied with any in the catalogs I have looked at. I figured I may venture into uncharted waters & attempt building my own knobs.
I have seen a few custom knobs in the forums but am looking for more pictures & specifically methods of construction….I will be using contrasting wood types, red oak, walnut & maple….I do not have a lathe but with all the other tools I have available, can hopefully construct something on my own….
Thanks in advance for any pictures, or metods of construction….
P.S. I have only been a subscriber for less than a year & was also wondering if any back issues of FWW contained articles on knob construction….
