Hammer drill thoughts and help?
Hi All. Looking for a little feed back on the bosch hammer drills.
I rented a heavy 11248? was big and felt like if you need ed to cement break it was about as big as you could go without going to a 60lb hammer or ? But if I was looking to do more drilling than chipping it was just a little on the heavy side. Any body got a little info on it ? I was looking at the current bosch sales and you can get a 1124sds for 499$ plus a circular saw and a grinder thrown in. Hmm pretty tempting but the rental was 22$ and I use it like(the heavy chipping) once or twice a year. So I can’t make up my mind? Any feed back will be helpfull. Plus it might be real nice to get a hole bit for those dryer duct holes through the cement,Hmm ,Hmmmm scratch scratch.

really small just as powerful as the bosch but no core bits in it though LOL!!!
i got fed up of dragging the cord around the site.
bosch also do smaller sds drills with rotation stop see attatchment.
i've also heard good reports about the metabo drills.
Hi, thanks for the reply.
What kind of set up are you using to mix with? What is the transition from sds to the mixer? Did you weld a mixer on to a sds shaft or?
Thanks Clay
i've got one of these mixer paddles with a screw on adaptor to fit the sds chuck.
the type i have is a MR3 about 6" in diameter it will knock up about 100kgs of sand and cement in one go.
