This is the table in the painted table thread (43477.1)
Here are some pics they may need resized. Taken via my brothers blackberry which has a better camera than my phone.
No finish yet. Top is not attached. I am thinking black milk paint for base, and freshen up the stain on the top and blend in the cuts. Seal the underside then attach the top.
Not too fine woodworking, but I just like to show what I have accomplished thanks to the advice of many here at Knots.

Webby,
Great hall table.
You say you learned how to do this from the Knotheads.
If that is the case, I have to start paying attention to these guys. :-)
Keep up the good work, and keep posting photos.

It's a wonderful table. REally think about a black tinted shellac for the bottom. Thin finish. Great looking.
Thanks so much everyone. I will think about the tinted shellac.
What would I tint with like a trans tint dye added to the shellac?
I had also at first just thought about brushing a thin oil based black paint on.

Very nice dimensions, and good work. The blackberry-made photo gives the shop a sorta smokey, classic appearance. And the lighting is perfect for it. I'd frame that sucker.
