I’m considering a new 8″ jointer and find the new Grizzly G0586 has some very attractive features, including 4 knife cutterhead and 75″ table. I know their 8″ jointers are well regarded, but what concerns me is that reputation is built on Taiwanese manufactured jointers whereas this new model is their first 8″ coming from China. Anyone have any experience yet with this new model? Comments?

The fence seems a bit dinky for a tool this size. I have a 6" Delta and the fence is higher by about two inches.
Still, it does seem like a lotta jointer for the money. I love Grizzly.. and have nothing but praise for the GO555 BS and the maple benchtop I purchased from them.
