I just received my hardware I had ordered from Horton Brasses. Outstanding quality I could not be more pleased.
I tried to pinch a few pennys the first time I ordered my hinges from another place less than half price of the hinges that Horton sells. They were so called reproduction hinges- what a big load of BULL.

Beans-
I'm with you on Horton brasses. I've used their products and think they're excellent. Actually, years ago Ball & Ball drove me to Horton brass. I wanted to use a good set of brass drop leaf table hinges on the first drop leaf table I built. I sent for their catalog and got sticker shock when I looked the prices. At the time they were a tad more than I could afford. But they had a good set of steel drop leaf hinges for less than half the price, so I ordered them. What they sent me was two sets of "Stanley" stamped steel hinges. I could have bought them at my local hdw.store. I never went back to B&B. Now I use Horton or Whitechapel for my "good'' brass.

I've gotten some nice things from both Horton and Historic Housefitters. You get what you pay for.

Beans,
I went to a flea market on Sunday morning and picked up 10 solid brass pulls, queen ann style, for $20 bucks. He also had boxes of hinges. Just another option if you have the time.
