I need a 7-8 day, two weight, pendulum movement for a custom clock I am building. The movement needs to fit into a rather small (10″x10″) area.
Does anyone know a place where they have a large selection of movements?
The clock will be a contemporary design using Corian.

Two come to mind, S. LaRose and Klockit. (There's another firm in Canada, but the name escapes me.) I believe both firms sell Hermele and Keininger movements as well as some no-names. Keininger is more expensive, but a superior movement. Be sure that the width of the lower part of the case is wide enough to allow for pendulum swing.

BTW, it's usually a very good idea to purchase your movement first, then build the clock around it. No surprises that way.

Thanks Jeff. Klockit does not sell movements separately but they are going to see if they can identify the one I used 30 years ago. I'll try the other Monday.
Yes, I know about having the movement before building. The design is from well in the past and I can modify it if I get something close.
Thanks again.
Sure Klockit sells movements separately - just open the link I gave you, go to the menu on the left side of the page and click on "mechanical movements and dials". And they do sell both Hermele and Keininger. Colonial Times was the other supplier I was thinking of.

I recently bought and installed three Hermle movements purchased at Black Forest Imports. They are very knowledgeable.
