I looks like an older model. I would think it might be worth $500 if the table is flat, there is no appreciable vibration when you run it. I personally would give more than $600 if every thing was perfect. Who knows what the person didn't advertise that they will sweeten the deal with to make the sale. If you're an adventurist check it out you may have a great story to share with us.
I appreciate the advice, I called the number, he said it was made around 1989-90, and is solid cast iron, but can be split in 1/2 if necessary ?? Long ways I am assuming. 2 hp motor, he didn't know the model number, thats all he could tell me other than never been used. If its still there this weekend maybe I will go check it out. I was just curious if it was an oldie but gooodie that would be worth the price if it was a heavy well built machine. I'll keep researching.
Thanks for the reply
Tony
Some of the older Grizzly stuff was heavy but, the tables weren't flat. Make sure you check it out thoroughly so it's right. I know when I have to go check out some things I will take someone knowledgable on what I am buying so I don't end up with something I really didn't wanty but couldn't say no.
Good advice and a good idea.
Thank you
Tony
Just an update,
The bandsaw was sold before I got to look at it.
Better luck next time.
Tony
I had that happen to me on Tuesday. I saw a Grizzly 20" top of the line drill press for only $400 with a bunch of extras on Craigs list. I was on fire because that meant if I sold my dp I would only have about $200 in the upgrade. When he replied he said he had sold it last week. (Gnashing of teeth!!). Its the old saying "If ya Snooze, ya Lose"
