Are there any special requirements for gluing up olive wood? I am making an end grain cutting board and was concerned that the natural oils in the wood might be an impediment to achieving a good bond. Any suggestions are welcome

You can glue it as you would any other species. Titebond works fine.

Thanks, that's all I needed to know.
David..
As a precaution I would wipe down all surfaces with Acetone first but just as I would do it... Sure you know more about Olive wood than I do!

Yes, but David, won't the olive oil impede adhesion of the glue??? ;-)

P.S. If you are interested I have posted a message in the Gen Discussion folder about curved cabinetry. Please peek in and see if you have any ideas - I value your advice.
Thanks
It's clear why the question would arise, but actually the wood doesn't contain a lot of oil just because oil is pressed from the olive fruit. In practice, in glues up without any special difficulty.

How about a little Vermooth!
Sorry I could not resist.
If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it.
And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
