While watching the “Wood Works” show on T.V. David Marks on numerous occasions has mentioned using “slow setting resin glue”on his glue-ups.What is slow setting resin glue? I have checked with several of the woodworking stores such as Rockler and Woodcraft and they couldn’t show me or explain what was meant by slow setting resin glue. Could you provide some “Brand Names ” for slow setting resin glue.

The technical name for what you are looking for is a urea formaldehyde resin glue. The only commonly available version is called Dap Weldwood. You should be able to find it in a woodworking supply, home center, or a good hardware store. It comes as a powder in a small white plastic tub with red lettering.
The Dap just needs water added to get it ready to use, some two part versions are also available. A woodworking supplier should have a few other brands available especially if they supply the veneer trade, but the Dap Weldwood is more than adequate for most woodworking applications.
