Anxiously awaiting the FT3000 in Ottawa. Meanwhile, does anyone have experience with it? Before you say it, I’ve already started lifting weights again to be able to handle the extra weight. 🙂
Admittedly, I’ve been making due with a piece of crap (spelled: Ryobi) which just gave up (depth adjustment fell apart).
thanks,
Andy

All I can say is, I envy you. I have the older model Freud in my router table, and that thing's a horse, I love it! Let us know how you like your new one.
Thanks. I am interested in alternatives if anyone has suggestions. I want a 3HP plunge, hopefully thought out for dust collection.
Freud seems to be taking their time getting them up here (great white north). I am stuck with a broken router now. The Freud rep I emailed suggested I special order one which will cost $200+ more than it should. Thanks for that. Am I impatient? Not to that tune.
Since I have time, I should ask what else there is like Triton, PC, etc that I should consider. Thanks for any recommendations.

Triton won best router for a router table in FWW pretty recently. It's a bear though; If you will be using it in a table....fine. If you are looking for a router to use by hand AND in a table, Freuds are much lighter.
Thanks for the suggestion. I got more impatient when they said "two more weeks" for the Freud. Their marketing sends mixed messages.
I researched the Triton and Bosch this morning. Both are capable and highly rated for what I want. I went out and picked up the 1619 and a Veritas table set.
