I’m currently attempting french polishing on a box with a burl veneer top. There was a small know in the top, and for the most part I filled it and the rest of the pores with pumice and shellac.
I’m in the body session stage and there is still just a small dimple where I didn’t fill. If I keep doing body sessions will it eventually fill in? or am I wasting my time?
I did try to use some pumice a couple of sessions ago, but it didn’t seem to do the trick, perhaps my technique is a little off.

Todd,
Eventually is a good word. You can buy sets of shellac (not wax) sticks for this task (and repairs) that come in a range of colour. Liberon sell an expensive variety, there are others but no idea of your local sources. The technique is to heat a knife (candle or oil lamp is enough for an old butter knife) and use that to gently melt the end of the stick so that it can be applied to the hole. Now that you have a bit of body up, matching the colour should be pretty easy.

Ok, I think the "eventually" was the thing I needed to know. I'm fine with the little imperfection. Its almost completely filled, just a little bigger than a pin hole. I just didn't know if I was giving up too soon.
Todd,
You can use a very fine brush or a toothpick to add shellac to the hole to fill it.
Once you start padding again it should be filled in.
May take a couple of drops of shellac to fill completely.
