I for one have never had 'GOOD' luck with a Thin Kerf blade .. Forest or otherwise.. NO I do not use them plates that restrict the dept of cut and stabilize the blade..
Not knocking the blade but way to much trouble when cutting miters.. I stick with the 'standard' width.. Besides my so called safety? splitter does not allow me to use a thin kerf!

I mis-spoke in my original post. The .125" if the full kerf. I think the .100" one is the thin kerf, but it is not on sale.
