I am building a folding chair and wondered what type of hardware I should use for the pivoting joints. Are carriage bolts appropriate? I have seen pivot hinges on the Rockler website but am afraid they will not be strong enough. The chair needs to pivot in 4 places.

Would a Roto Hinge work? I believe they would be more than strong enough for this application.
Thanks - there is a Rockler nearby and I think they have them.
Here is the info on the hardware for the Lee Valley folding Adirondack chair. Maybe it will give you some ideas:

Thanks - that might be a good option.
