I am just finishing my combined garage workshop, mainly workshop. I might have to let a car in once in awhile. But my question is about my concrete floor. Does anybody have suggestions about a floor paint. I had a neighbor use that 2 part epoxy kit that you get at HD but after a year it looked terrible. Any help would be appreciated.

We recently painted my 1500 sq.foot shop/garage with the 2 part epoxy paint we bought a Lowes. It went on easily and and it looks great.
It has been about 4 months since the job was completed and there has been no visible change. This was new concrete that was well cured and cleaned very well before the epoxy was applied.
I have moved a lot of heavy equipment on the floor and there are no visible marks.
I would recommend that you go for it.

I recently painted my new workshop with Sherwin Williams Armorseal 1000HS. It's a two part polyamide epoxy. It's not cheap....65 bucks for each gallon (2 required - part A & B). The good thing is it goes a long way. My shop is 24 X 32 and I could have probably painted the whole thing, one coat with one mix (2 gallons). Instead I mixed up two batches and was looking for something else to paint with the extra. I should have mixed one batch, let that dry, then put a second coat on with the second mix. Seems to be holding up well, looks good, and already has some slip resistance built in (although you can add more).
Can you elaborate on "it looked terrible"? If there were adhesion problems, that suggests that the concrete was not prepared properly.

It was an adhesion problem
I kind of like the look of my garage floor. I have randomly applied, over the years, many different types of finish, paint, glue and one time a large amount of blood. I think it looks like a garage floor should look. No motor oil, brake fluid or grease though.
I did my two car garage with the rustoleum product and it looked great. Lasted well (I assume it's still ok, I sold the house). I miss it in my current house. I'm getting read to move and will be putting it in my new garage.
If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it.
And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
