I wrote awhile back about my table saw being out of alignment by about 3/16″ of an inch from the miter slots. I tried loosen the trunnion bolts and adjust it and had no luck. They didn’t tell me that you have to loosen the bolt and controls the arm for adjusting the pitch. Then you can move the trunnion anyway you want. I am so glad I fixed it. Returning it would have been a pain in the butt.

Congrats and thanks for the update.
Well done and how did you find this out?
process of elimination. The front of the trunnion just would not budge. Stupid me saw that the rod for adjust the pitch was connected to the base. There is a nut that helps hold the rod to the base for stability. Loosen that bolt and you are good to go. That was nowhere in the instructions from delta or the supposedly more detailed set they sent me. You have no idea how much of a relief that was getting it fixed. Returning the saw would have been impossible and expensive.
I know your feelings. Some instructions need some serious work! Glad you got it fixed.

Congratulations!
Make sure you check it at angles other than 90 degrees if you haven't already.

Good point, Don. That's where I realllllly had trouble with the old Jet -- at 45* bevel, things were way out of whack. Gave me a permanent phobia of ripping at that angle, LOL.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
