Hi All – I have bubinga panelling & window trim in a new addition all have a tung oil finish. However, new unfinished sashes are made of pine. I dont need them to be exact, but, would appreciate thoughts on how best to stain/finish the pine to be relatively close to the bubinga. Thanks !

I work with Bubinga when I can find some at a reasonable price, I would suggest that you stain your wood to a contrasting color if posible. Way less stress on your part!
Bubinga loves contrasting colors. Find a color wheel and find a color that fits... I find that the Bubinga I have ever used is beautiful... but all sort of the same thing..
The textures of the two woods is so different that even if you should get the color right, they will look different. I agree with WillGeorge that going for the contrast is likely to be a better solution. With pine a clear finish or paint are often the best solutions since pine takes stain quite poorly. In addition, dye in a window sash is going to be relatively prone to fading, unless the windows block substantial amounts of UV.
I think you guys have hit on the best idea, which is paint. I already have some wenge in the room as well, and I am not a fan of too many contrasting woods. Thanks very much !
