Gary,
Thanks for all of your great articles in FWW. I always find them informative and inspirational.
I will soon be making a small set of hanging shelves out of cherry to go into a friends bathroom. It will have one small drawer at the bottom.
I have it in my head that you should not finish the inside of drawers. Is that a good general rule? And if so, I’m worried about the constant moisture change in a bathroom (warping and sticking, etc). Any advice?
While I’m asking,,, normally I like to finish with Shellac. But I’m afraid I’ll have to go to some kind of poly in this environment. Do you agree? recommendations?
Thanks in advance,

David,
Thanks for the kind words.
I always finish my drawers inside and out. I also use shellac for the insides so there's no lingering smell inside them. I see no problem using shellac in this environment unless you foresee lots of splashing around. But I would finish inside and out. You can also use shellac on the inside and what you like on the outside for more protection. Good luck. Gary
