I’ve just finished building a 5-sided corner cabinet. The face frames and doors are made of butternut and the interior is made of pine. Any suggestions on how to finish it?

Livent,
I just built a sofa table in butternut and finished it with about 6 coats of Watco natural, it really made the grain "pop".Sand the Watco in with 400 or so grit after about the third coat . Keep doing this untill you get the sheen you want ,I stoped at a silky satin , it feels great when you touch it.

I finished the bed I made from butternut by French polishing it.Looks great. I used the blonde shellac.Good luck,Leon Jester
