I made a little stepstool for my son to help him reach the sink to brush his teeth and such – so the stool’s home will be in the bathroom. Any suggestions for what finish to use to deal with bathroom humidity and the inevitable water drips?
Oh, it’s made of sycamore from a tree that I milled up a year or two back.
Thanks.

I put some nice tongue & Groove paneling on the ceiling of my bathroom. I put 2 coats of spar varnish on all sides to seal it. That was 4 years ago and it is still fine. I am planning as a preventive measure to put another coat on every 4-5 years.
I made the same thing for my grandson. I made his out of cherry and finished it with a water based poly. It's holding up fine so far. It's only been since Christmas that he's been using it.
