Deft lacquer is my finish of choice for the ebonies I have worked with and it works fine.
Thanks for the reply. I am not familiar with deft lacquer. Is it in any way similar to acid catalyst lacquer?
Deft is the brand. I buy it both in the brush on and aerosol product. I believe you can buy it for your spray system as well, however, as I have none I have to stick with the more primitive stuff.

GENERAL FINISHES it works great on everything. Go to there website or go to a local woodcraft store for a demo. Water based Polyurethane that Only takes 10 min. between coats. WOW. I Love this stuff.
