Did some pieces with Parawood (malaysian rubber tree) that I have recovered and dimensioned from pallets we recieve from the Orient. Does anyone have any experience with anything I should be on alert for in finishing as I have never used it before.
A sixth sense tells me that even though parawood quits secreting latex gum after 25 years when they are cut down and re-cyled for furniture, the pores may dry and seal with latex traces. That could be a quick route to “fish-eye” city if the sixth sense is correct?
Anyone used, finished or have knowledge of finish techniques for this wood as I am not familar with it’s finishing characteristics. Any help would be greatly appreciated to avoid errors before they happen!

Well Sarge, looks like by default you are going to have to "walk point" on this one as most are probably not familar with parawood as you. But.. point should not be a major challenge as you've been there before and I'm sure you're common sense will over-ride assumptions and you will "trial and error" on scrap stock before final action.
Ya can do it, son! ha.. ha...
