When looking at pictures of Craftsman/A&C/Mission style interiors it appears as though the QSWO and plain white oak trim has nearly the same finished look as the Stickley furniture. And I am aware that the look acheived on the furniture is typically by fuming with ammonia. Certainly the trim in the houses isn’t fumed. Are my eyes deceiving me and the finished color only looks similar or am I missing something.
How is the trim in most Craftsman style bungalows finished? Just a clear finish?

If using white oak, you can come fairly close with Minwax's chestnut colored stains. Might not be quite dark enough for some, so maybe you could add a small amount of black dye - or blend in some ebony stain.
Unless you're the lead dog, the view just never changes.
Are you sure that the trim is white oak? I live in a bungalow in historic area of Pasadena, Ca. Most of the homes have douglas fir originally stained dark brown to mimic more expensive woods.-John
