What is the best finish for a exterior door (North exposure), I cannot use Sikkens because I used a stain other than theirs..help would be appreciated.. [email protected]

I would use a good marine varish like Epifanes (http://www.epifanes.com). If you have a "West Marine" store near you they have a house brand of varnish that is made by Epifanes (I used this on a Walnut door for my house that I made several years ago and it has held up well. I have a friend who used to sell boats and boat supplies and he likes Petits Captains spar varnish. Anyway good luck.
