Your magazine and website are truly inspiring and encouraging. I am a college student, so I don’t have many fancy tools, only the bare essentials for woodworking. As looking for new information and new ideas, I often refer to your magazine and website. I appreciate the work you guys poured into this ongoing project. I would appreciate even more if captions were available on your online videos, since I am deaf. I am fairly certain others will appreciate it just as well, as some of your readers may have some hearing difficulties. Just maybe, due to the exposure to woodworking noises for a number of years, one could lose significant hearing. 🙂 Some say it’s a blessing in disguise for a man, since we don’t have to “hear” our wives. 🙂 Anyway, keep in mind that your readers would benefit from captions being installed on your woodworking videos. Thank you.

That's a fantastic idea. I bet a lot of folks visit the various Taunton sites but don't view the videos because they can't hear, don't have speakers, are sneaking in some woodworking while their better half is sleeping, or any number of reasons. Having the dialog in text form next to the video would make it accessable to a lot of visitors who, otherwise, have to guess at what they're watching.

Having a dialog in text adjacent to the video works for me. I just hope the fine people at Tauton's are willing to do that.

Well stated. Make sure you resend this to the Magazine Feedback section. I'm not sure the guys have time to read every message in all of the subject areas but I think they put time in checking the Mag Feedback.
