I am turning a set of cherry salad bowls, and have some tear out on some of them. Can you give me some help, as to what to use to fill these spots so they will not be toxic, and how to do it. I am new to turning, so any help will be appreciated.
Thank You,
RNH

Aside from sanding which is easy. You can shear scrape with the side grind of a bowl gouge. This is done with the inside edge of gouge pointing downward at about a 10 to 22 degree angle. It takes a very light touch, just enough to take off "baby hair".
Work Safe, Count to 10 when your done for the day !!
